Are you an approved provider for VET Student Loans?

If your Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is interested in seeking the approval to become a VET Student Loans (VSL) Approved Course Provider, the applications will open on 15 September 2020 and close on 15 October 2020.

If your application is approved, your RTO will be able to enrol students from 1 January 2021.

The VET Student Loans (VSL) program provides loans to eligible students wishing to undertake Vocational Education and Training (VET) in approved courses with an approved provider.

Among other suitability requirements, your RTO must satisfy the critical financial performance data to get approval.

  • A history of sound financial performance (has your RTO earned profits for the last three years).

  • A sound financial management structure (prudent management of your RTO’s cash flow and resources).

  • Satisfactory Current Ratio (is your RTO able to pay debts when they are due).

  • Whether financial support is available to your RTO in the form of bank guarantees and capital injection agreements.

It is also advantageous to submit the audited financial statements as part of your application.
